SFE - Storage feeder
The SFE storage feeder ensures the right tension when knitting fabrics with intermittent yarn consumption, no matter what type of yarn is used. The speed of the DC motor is controlled by a micro-processor. Sensors monitor the size of the yarn reserve on the spool body and keep it constant.
- Even knit structure due to uniform yarn tension
- No fabric press-offs when the yarn breaks due to the inlet yarn sensor and yarn reserve on the spool body
- No over-storing of yarn windings, no loop formation
This has the smallest yarn store possible and ensures the optimum feed of individual yarn layers.
Sensor (fibre optic module)
The fibre optic sensor and the SFE microprocessor monitor the yarn store on the winding reel and regulate the motor speed to match yarn consumption.
Yarn tension is adjusted by using one of tensioner rings available.
Vibrating yarn tensioner
The vibrating yarn tensioner has magnetic tensioner rings to ensure that yarn tension remains constant. The continuous rotary motion of the tensioner ring keeps it clean. This prevent fault stoppages.
Output stop (optional)
A built-in outfeed stop for the SFE is also available.

Tension ring holder
For special yarns or applications of the SFE, the use of a tension ring holder may be necessary. This keeps the tension ring in its correct position and ensures that the yarn does not sweep away the tension ring.
